While talking to Colleen and her husband, Les, they find out that she was told to flirt with Chip by the writers. They find out that one of the women on the show, Colleen, has been flirting with Chip and they find out that there is someone on Twitter who is threatening him and his wife. He wanted something to do and he can’t go to work until he is cleared. We then find out that the couple didn’t have control of the car for at least the last 20 years it traveled! In an attempt to find out who would want to kill them, Raydor tells Flynn to watch the show. Chip swears he didn’t do it because it would kill their spin off idea. During the interview, Mario shows video footage of the crash and we see that the car has two steering wheels and Donna is telling him to stop tugging on the steering wheel. Rusty agrees to do it.īack at the Major Crimes unit, Chip’s sister is brought in for questioning and that’s when she mentioned that Chip was on Mario Lopez’s talk show doing an interview. Slider’s lawyer tells Rusty that he will let him interview Slider, if after he is done, he does another interview with the lawyer about the death penalty. This shows the lawyer that if he can’t answer simple questions from Rusty, he isn’t going to be able to handle cross examination at trial. Rusty doesn’t seem to be getting any help from the lawyer either, until he shows him a video of Slider losing it with Rusty at one of their meetings. Meanwhile, Rusty is meeting with Slider’s lawyer about trying to get Slider to talk to him because Slider isn’t being very cooperative. The drama brought in views and made money, so they kept them on the show. Making himself look guilty as hell! Raydor and Sanchez are talking to the producer in the waiting room when he leaves and he tells them that Chip and Donna were really ugly competitors and always verbally attacked the other teams.
That’s when Chip decides to make a run for it and signs out and leaves before Raydor and Sanchez have a chance to head back to the room.
Raydor and Sanchez are asked to leave by the sister, for “family time”, but Raydor and Sanchez say they will be back before he is released from the hospital. They don’t tell him right away that his wife died, but when his sister walks in and breaks the news to him. He lived and is rushed to the hospital where Raydor and Sanchez go to talk to the husband. Donna and Chip Cochran are the couple who were in the car and it looks like the husband jumped out right before it went over the cliff.
